Hi, I'm Bella UX Writer & Localization PT · EN · ES
Products that read
like they were
born in every language
6+ years making web and mobile products easy to read in every market. Whether the words are mine or someone else's, the job is the same: make the text clear enough that no one has to stop and think about it.
What I do
Language vs Noise
A product full of features, but without clear language, is just noise. My job is to sort out that mess so people find what they need.
- Microcopy & flows — onboarding, error states, tooltips, CTAs, empty states.
- Localization & cultural adaptation — native, not literal, across PT / EN / ES.
- Voice & consistency — holding tone across markets and against pressure to drift.
- Style guides & terminology — editorial standards a whole team can follow.
- Content strategy — starting from the “why,” not the wording.

The craft, up close
One heart, three jobs
One heart was doing three different jobs. I pushed to split each one, with its own icon and label. In a dense, gamified product, that's what keeps the interface from turning into a pile of meaningless hearts.
Selected work
Four products, three languages.
The same obsession in all of them: language that helps.
When translation isn't enough
A dense, gamified film community, made clear in three languages.

Curious by default
My first translations were from Latin into Portuguese, in an undergraduate research project on classical translation. From there came comedy subtitles, three languages, and a lot of product. Everything changed but the question: how do you make this clear for whoever is reading?
Off the clock, there is always a book, a series, or a new language going (Korean, at the moment). And the cats, who supervise every coffee break.
